I need a voice recorder that I can use to record interviews for my newspaper as well as to record lectures for my college classes. I want a recorder that has…

2. Dragon software (the stuff that converts speech to text)
3. Plugs directly into the computer, no USB cable

Today I bought a digital voice recorder and used it to interview someone. Eventually, I’d like to use it for a movie in something like Windows Movie Maker. The only problem is that the device does’nt connect directly through a USB chord. But the man at Radioshack did say that there was a way to hook it up to a computer, but I forget how exactly. On the device there are two jacks, the ‘EAR’ one obviously designed for headphones. There’s another jack called ‘MIC’, and I’m supposed to use that somehow.

Anyone know what’s up? If so, what do I need and how do I do it?

I bought a cheap voice recorder from Best Buy, thinking that I would be able to transfer the audio to my PC. Turns out it doesn’t have a USB Port. Just a headphone jack and an external Mic jack. Would it be possible to get the audio to my pc by using a Two way headphone cable and plugging one end into the headphone socket on the recorder, and the other end into the Mic socket on my PC?

I was searching on ebay for an unlocked phone. I found one that’s absolutely perfect. It’s cheap and Hello Kitty ! Haha, I’m unsure of it, though. It’s located in Hong Kong. It says the carriers are Cingular, At&t, and T-Mobile. But, I figured, since it’s unlocked, couldn’t I use it if I have Ntelos ? Although, as far as I’m concerned, Ntelos doesn’t use SIM cards.
