Hi, i was wondering if it is possible that my phone (blackberry 8330) may have been hacked in such a way that the voice recorder app which comes with the phone has saved voice recording of me without my knowledge, it has saved .amr files, the speech files it produces after each recording. is there any way possible that this may be activated to record? may it have been from a text command from another phone? a software installed into my phone? please help
I have been advertising for a babysitter to look after my daughter while I work. The best applicant was a 46 year old I accepted his application. However we did all the checks on him and found that he was a convicted sex offender, but spent his sentence more than 7 years ago and received counseling, etc and had remorse for his crimes. I am very wary about giving him the job but the police and my lawyer have told me that I would be in a legal quagmire if I was to fire him as his sentence was spent. It means I would have to fire him and it would lead to unfair dismissal etc so I have to let him look after my daughter now. I have purchased a voice activated recorder and will leave it running throughout his visits to my house to make sure everything is above board. Is there any other tips I can take to magnify security?
I rent a room in a three bedroom house. I signed the agreement in October. The agreement includes a stipulation that all areas of the house EXCEPT the bedrooms are shared areas. In November, my landlords son began living on the living room sofa bed. This was a shared area but became his makeshift bedroom. This individual is on probation, and I am also on probation which makes living together impossible due to terms of probation. In addition, my 1 year old daughter lives with me and used to play openly in the living room area. The individual living on the sofa is a diagnosed schizophrenic who does not take his prescribed medication which can lead to an unpredictable situation. This has been acknowledged by my landlord. When I addressed the issue of two probationers not being able to live together with my landlord, she assured me that he would be leaving within a week. After a week, it was announced that he would be staying beyond the time limit I had been given by my probation officer to either move or guy on the couch to move. At that time i informed my landlord that the living conditions were no longer the conditions I signed up for, and texted a 30 day notice of my intent to move out to my landlord, who acknowledged recieving the text, but demanded payment of rent for the 30 day period. As i tried to go out daily and find a new place, i started noticing things moved around in my LOCKED bedroom. so in addition to the door lock, i placed several strips of scotch tape across the door jam where it meets the door. i came home one day and immediately noticed all strips ripped. I then activated my voice recorder on my cellphone and informed my landlord that i was recording the conversation. I pointed out the ripped tape and my landlord instantly became loud and seemingly furious. i explained that i noticed things moved around in my room and took this precaution, at which time my landlord started screaming that she didnt care, good for me, and admitted to entering my room to check on a dresser that was in the room which she was letting me use. I later found that an expensive piece of jewelry was missing so i filed a police report. since then it has been a nightmare but i lack the immediate funding to just up and move instantly, so i am staying the duration of the 30 days. Then recently my landlord gave a notice to enter my dwelling so she could remove my cable and internet connections. I feel as though there has to be something not right here. Has my landlord breached our agreement? Must I pay for the period of residency during my 30 day notice of intent to move? Any and all feedback is appreciated.
In addition to all of this, I have recently found out that my "landlord" is actually just renting this house herself. The actual owner of the house has no idea that this person is representing herself as the true owner… my "landlord" had some forms printed off of the web for a 3-day notice (given AFTER I submitted my 30 day notice of intent to move), as well as the notice to enter my dwelling- both of which designate her as the OWNER of the property, when in fact she is only a tenant. can i request some sort of proof of her right to sublease? Our initial rent agreement, which i have copies of, only list my "landlord" as the owner. This agreement was also printed off of the internet, sort of a quick "fill in the blanks" form.
